Woody Veneman releases six albums and plays numerous national and international shows with his roots formation Woody & Paul, before throwing all conventions overboard and transforming himself into a remarkably versatile artist with an extraordinarily versatile discography.
It all comes together in his solo performances, where he plays songs from his entire repertoire. Veneman is a remarkably prolific artist, a fact that stems from a never-ending urge to create and reinvent: “There’s always something you haven’t made yet.”

Woody Sings
Woody Sings is a show that focuses on the man and his guitar. At one moment Veneman is deep diving into murder ballads or protest songs, at another he is shining a light on musical heroes such as Townes van Zandt or Bob Dylan. Veneman is ad rem and makes time for personal anecdotes and historical context.
What began as an exclusive residency at Rozenknop and Effenaar has now grown into a full-length touring show in which the Eindhoven-based singer-songwriter performs songs and stories based on changing themes.

Woody and the Nine Wives
Woody invites you on a new musical adventure with his brand new trio Woody and The Nine Wives. Armed with a spartan rhythm section of Joni Houtman (bass) and Lola Heijdt (drums), Veneman brings the best of his entire oeuvre in a swinging fashion.
In an era of plastic-sounding, artificially generated music, the trio draws inspiration from the raw, minimalist qualities of bands like Violent Femmes and The Modern Lovers. This punky attitude gives Woody's sweet-voiced songs a surprisingly ragged dimension.
